I do not believe you are stupid, I know you know the risks. I also know that knowing them is often not enough to break the habit of smoking. If rational thinking was enough you would have done it already.
A different approach to stopping smoking.
So many people try to scare you into stopping smoking and this may help you in the short term. However being aware of the long term health benefits of quitting are often not enough to stop that urge when it arises.
Often when people stop smoking they say, “I still really feel like one when I have a drink.” This must be really difficult.
My approach looks to tackle all of the psychological tricks the cigarettes have to pull you back in, to make you feel like you need them. So rather than simply trying to resist cigarettes, I aim to get you to the point where you no longer even consider it.
You are so much more than someone who smokes, but I understand how cigarettes become wrapped up in who you feel you are. With my approach to smoking cessation therapy I use hypnotherapy and psychotherapy to help you confidently break your ties with smoking.
E-cigarettes and nicotine replacements simply replace one problem for another, you never truly end that relationship. With the way I work with you, I will help you deal with the unconscious emotional ties that willpower alone cannot address.
